(Credit: NOAA Fisheries/Hannah Colwell) Logistics Following is logistical information to start your planning for the 2023 NAAFE Forum in Woods Hole, May 23 – May 26, 2023. VENUE will be held at WHOI and the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) in Woods Hole, MA. Registration and plenary sessions will take place in Redfield Auditorium (45 Water Street) and the poster session and banquet at the MBL Swope Center (5 North Street).Concurrent sessions will be at Redfield Auditorium, Smith Labs Conference Room (86 Water St.) and MBL Candle House (127 Water St.). All buildings are within a short walking distance. PARKING Parking is very limited in Woods Hole Village and tightly regulated. It’s recommended that you plan to stay in Woods Hole. For anyone that asked for permit parking in advance, you can pick up your permit at the registration table for parking at NOAA (next to the NOAA Aquarium. Look for the NAAFE Sign. For last minute requests, you can ask at the registration table, and we may be able to provide limited parking at the WHOI Quissett Campus. The WHOI shuttle will be available, but times are limited. See WHOI Shuttle Schedule . Maps will be provided at the registration table and also can be found here . Air Travel The two airports nearest to Woods Hole are Boston Logan Airport (BOS) and Providence T.F. Green Airport (PVD). Both airports are just under 80 miles from Woods Hole, and both offer excellent bus service ( Peter Pan Bus Lines and Plymouth & Brockton Bus Lines ) to Falmouth and Woods Hole. Please check bus schedules and book well ahead of time. Ground Transportation Peter Pan Bus Lines and Plymouth & Brockton Bus Lines is available to Falmouth/Woods Hole from Boston South Station and Boston Logan Airport as well as Providence Bus Terminal only (not from T.F. Green Airport). At Boston’s Logan Airport, Peter Pan buses leave directly for Falmouth and Woods Hole, taking about 1.5 - 2 hours. The bus stop for scheduled buses” can be found right outside each terminal (exit ground floor of the baggage claim area) at Boston Logan Airport. You must book on-line in advance for bus service, and it is a good idea to book early! Both airports also offer many rental car services.
